It is a sad reality that due to poverty and lack of income, many families are forced to sleep outside prisons to visit their loved ones who are in prison. What is especially tragic is that these families are often made worse by the loss of the family’s provider.

We want to support these families and help ensure that they are in safe housing while they visit their loved ones. We believe that no one should sleep on the streets, especially outside a prison where security conditions are often poor and violence and sexual assault are commonplace.

Our goal is to find ways to fund the construction or purchase of shelters that will provide protection and safety for these families. We believe that it is important that the families who have to travel long distances to visit their loved ones in prison should have a safe place to sleep.
